Terms & Conditions
Please note that by accepting an appointment with Hartley's Groom Room you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
Your Dog:
To ensure that your dog has the best possible grooming experience and to help me achieve this I'd be grateful if, during the initial consultation, you could share information about any of the following:
Your appointment:
When bringing your dog to Hartley's Groom Room, please take care to:
Please ensure I am always able to contact you whilst your dog is in my care. If you are not available please ensure you provide the contact details of a friend or family member who can be responsible on your behalf.
We will all agree that stress levels for dogs must be kept to a minimum throughout the grooming process. If your dog is severely matted then their coat may need to be clipped short to prevent discomfort. Should this be required, you will be consulted and be asked to sign a consent form.
Dogs are like all animals and sudden movements can happen which can, in extreme circumstances, result in an accident. Whilst your dog is at Hartley's Groom Room their well-being will be my utmost priority, however I cannot be held responsible should this situation occur.
End of Your Appointment & Payment:
If paying via BACS, please make payment before you leave to collect your dog. With busy lives it is so easy to forget to make payment once you have collected your dog and I find I spend quite a bit of time reminding clients to make payment. You will receive a phone call or a text when the groom is nearly finished so that you can make your way over to collect your dog and make payment. A boarding charge of £5 per every 15 minutes may be incurred should you fail to collect your dog within the time advised.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments:
Life is hectic for all of us but please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. This is my livelihood so there would be an opportunity for the slot to be filled by another client; cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur a fee of 50% of the groom cost if I am unable to fill the appointment with another client. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a 100% fee additionally please note, missed appointments will incur a 100% charge.
Each dog will have an allotted time so if you are more than 15 minutes late then I'm afraid you will need to rearrange the appointment as a late start will impact other clients and your appointment will be 100% chargeable.
Your Dog:
To ensure that your dog has the best possible grooming experience and to help me achieve this I'd be grateful if, during the initial consultation, you could share information about any of the following:
- Whether your dog has displayed any signs of aggression;
- If your dog is suffering from any illness or medical condition;
- Whether you are aware of any allergies your dog may have;
- If your dog has any fleas, ticks or mites, or if they are showing any signs of these; and
- Anything else you think may be relevant to your dog's health e.g. aches and pains.
Your appointment:
When bringing your dog to Hartley's Groom Room, please take care to:
- Clean up after your dog should they get caught short (number one or number two!). Alternatively, let me know so that the area can be cleaned;
- Be considerate of my neighbours and park safely and sensibly in an area which does not block other driveways. Feel free to park behind my car on my driveway;
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times.
Please ensure I am always able to contact you whilst your dog is in my care. If you are not available please ensure you provide the contact details of a friend or family member who can be responsible on your behalf.
